Korea expands free safety gear rentals to all mountain parks

South Korea's National Park Service is rolling out free safety equipment rentals across all 20 mountainous national parks this month, making it easier for hikers to access boots, poles, and other gear without extra cost. Eight new parks are joining the program, bringing total rental stations to 27 nationwide. The service is specifically being made more foreigner-friendly with English materials and overseas promotion to boost accessibility for international visitors.
