Korea Hosts UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan

South Korea is hosting the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee session in Busan from July 19-29, the first time since joining in 1988. Around 3,000 participants from 196 member countries will attend to discuss heritage site protection and new designations. The Korea Heritage Service is organizing a "Korea Pavilion" and side events across the city showcasing Korean culture through exhibitions, media installations, and films.
