Korea launches UNESCO Heritage festival in Busan this July

South Korea is hosting the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee session in Busan for the first time this July, and they're making it a cultural celebration. A massive K-Heritage House pavilion—twice the size of a soccer field—will showcase 42 exhibitions, performances, and interactive programs featuring Korea's UNESCO sites and contemporary content. You'll see everything from the royal guard ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace to immersive digital heritage experiences from July 20-29.
Why It Matters
If you're in Korea during late July, this free cultural event is unmissable—it's a rare chance to explore Korea's entire heritage portfolio and contemporary culture in one place without traveling around the country.
