Korea Showcases Traditional Gat Hat-Making at UNESCO Summit

South Korea is hosting the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee session in Busan from July 20-29, and the Korea Heritage Service will showcase traditional craftsmanship during the event. Master artisans will demonstrate gat-making—the iconic traditional Korean horsehair hat—and other intangible cultural heritage skills. The public showcase aims to introduce foreign delegates and visitors to Korea's rich cultural traditions.
