Korean Football Body Opens Case Against Referee Over Sexist Remark

South Korea's football governing body has launched disciplinary proceedings against a referee accused of making a sexually harassing comment toward a player during a women's match. The referee allegedly told another official the player was being oversensitive because she was menstruating, a remark that was caught on a live-streamed broadcast. The player, Ji So-yun, reported the incident after the referee then gave her a yellow card when she confronted her about the comment.
