Korean Painter Kim Bohie Celebrates Jeju’s Light and Nature

South Korean painter Kim Bohie is showcasing about 30 paintings at Gallery Hyundai in Seoul, featuring her signature style of capturing Jeju Island's landscapes, flowers, and turquoise waters bathed in varying light. The exhibition, titled 'Towards: There was Light,' includes new works from her Toward series and a monumental piece called 'The Days' that was recently shown at Art Basel. For Kim, light has been a central theme throughout her 40-year artistic career, serving as a metaphor for creation and her deep gratitude toward nature.
