Korea’s Kim Min-young wins first kurash gold at Asian Games

South Korean wrestler Kim Min-young claimed gold in the women's +87kg kurash event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, defeating Chinese Taipei's Shih Liu Li-ling 5-0. Kurash, a Central Asian wrestling sport where throws and takedowns score points, was introduced to the Asian Games in 2018. This marks Korea's first gold medal in kurash since the sport debuted at the Games.
