Myeong-dong dominates Korea’s tourist shopping despite growth elsewhere

Myeong-dong in central Seoul captured nearly a quarter of all foreign shopping spending in Q2 2026, up from 20% a year earlier. Foreign visitors are spreading to newer areas like Seongsu and Yeouido, but their spending remains heavily concentrated in the traditional hub.
