SeMA celebrates abstract art pioneer Yoo Young-kuk with major retrospective

The Seoul Museum of Art is launching a large-scale retrospective of Yoo Young-kuk (1916-2002), a pioneering abstract artist known for bold depictions of mountains as reflections of the inner mind. The exhibition features around 170 works and archives, including previously unseen pieces, organized around his artistic turning point in 1964 rather than strict chronology. The show marks the 110th anniversary of his birth and offers visitors rare insight into different stages of his life and creative journey.
