Frieze Seoul returns to COEX Halls C and D from September 2 to 5, 2026, held in partnership with the Galleries Association of Korea alongside Kiaf SEOUL. For four days Gangnam becomes the centre of the Asian art market, and the openings spill out into galleries across the city.
Frieze Seoul 2026 runs September 2–5 in Halls C and D at COEX, Gangnam. It is held in partnership with the Galleries Association of Korea and runs alongside Kiaf SEOUL in the same building, which is why the two are usually spoken of as one week rather than two fairs.
Frieze is where the international galleries are, Kiaf is where the Korean gallery scene shows its depth, and one ticket-buying decision decides which halls you get. Check what your ticket covers before you buy.
The fair is only the centre of gravity. Galleries in Samcheong-dong, Hannam-dong and Cheongdam schedule their strongest openings for the same week and stay open late, and most of them are free to walk into. If the fair ticket is more than you wanted to spend, the gallery districts alone make the week worth it.
Book accommodation early. This week, together with the biennale season, is when Seoul hotels are at their tightest in autumn.
