The largest official Pokemon event outside Japan, running April 26 through June 21 across two locations in Seoul. Metamon Playground in Seongsu-dong offers paid entry with themed zones, exclusive merchandise, and interactive character installations (daily 10AM-9PM). The Secret Forest annex inside Seoul Forest is completely free and features outdoor art installations and themed pathways (daily 12PM-7PM). Over 160,000 visitors came in the opening weekend alone — police were deployed for crowd control. Weekday mornings before noon are the only realistic way to enjoy this without hours of queuing. Seongsu Station (Line 2, Exit 3) for the paid venue; Seoul Forest Station (Bundang Line, Exit 3) for the free section.
Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 brings The Pokémon Company’s largest-format traveling experience to Seoul, running at COEX in Gangnam-gu for six days (May 13–18). Mega Festa is a premium Pokémon merchandise and experience event — multiple floors of official goods from Japan and Korea, exclusive regional products, interactive photo zones, gaming stations, and merchandise releases not available in retail stores. For collectors and Pokémon fans, this is one of the highest-concentration opportunities to find rare or Japan-exclusive items outside of Japan itself.
The event typically spans themed merchandise areas organized by Pokémon franchise (main series games, TCG, anime), with exclusive collaboration products and limited-edition items created specifically for Mega Festa. Photo zones feature life-size Pokémon installations. Expect long queues for merchandise release zones, particularly on opening day and weekends. Pokémon Center Korea merchandise and standard goods are also well-stocked. Card game play areas and demo stations for current game titles are part of the setup.
