For two days Ttukseom Hangang Park turns into an open-air theatre. Street arts companies from Korea and abroad perform across the riverside — circus, acrobatics, roving performance and parades — alongside exhibitions and hands-on programmes. The riverside becomes a stage

For two days in September, Ttukseom Hangang Park stops being a place you pass through. Street arts companies from Korea and abroad take the lawns, the paths and the open ground by the water, and the park turns into an outdoor theatre with no walls and no fixed seats.

The programme runs to circus and acrobatics, roving performance that moves through the crowd, parades, and installation works you walk into rather than watch from a distance. Alongside the shows there are exhibitions and hands-on programmes for people who would rather join in than stand and look.

Free, and built for walking

Everything is free. Some participatory programmes take advance booking, so check the official site if there is something specific you want to join. Because the works are spread across the park, the festival rewards walking — arrive with time and let the next performance find you.
