SEVENTEEN unit V8 (THE 8 x Vernon) holds their first joint unit concert at KINTEX Hall 1, Goyang (Jul 11-12). A rare intimate-scale show for fans of the global K-pop group.
SEVENTEEN has run world tours and sold out arenas, but V8 is something different — it’s the first time THE 8 and Vernon have fronted a stage together without the rest of the group. Two members, two distinct creative signatures, one shared concert. The pairing is unexpected enough that it became the story before a single setlist was confirmed: THE 8, SEVENTEEN’s choreography anchor and visual centerpiece; Vernon, the group’s most sonically unpredictable solo presence. Together, they’re headlining two nights at KINTEX, Goyang (July 11–12).
Unit concerts within a large group give audiences something the main group format doesn’t: a closer lens. THE 8 and Vernon occupy very different spaces in SEVENTEEN’s sound — THE 8 is known for sharp, refined aesthetics in both performance and solo output, while Vernon leans toward hip-hop and experimental textures. The V8 concept reportedly draws from both without forcing them into a single lane.
KINTEX Hall 1 in Goyang is a significantly smaller venue than what SEVENTEEN uses for group tours — this is a deliberate choice. Unit concerts in K-pop typically run at 5,000–10,000 capacity venues to maintain an intimacy that arena-scale shows can’t replicate. Expect a longer per-song interaction ratio and a setlist built around each member’s solo catalog and shared tracks.
KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) is in Ilsan-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, north of Seoul. The complex hosts everything from trade shows to concerts, and Hall 1 is one of its dedicated performance spaces with proper stage rigging and production infrastructure.
Take subway Line 3 to Daehwa Station (대화역), Exit 1, then walk approximately 10 minutes to KINTEX. Alternatively, take the Gyeongui-Jungang Line to Neunggok Station (능곡역) and transfer or take a short taxi. Parking is available on-site for those driving.
Sold via Weverse Shop. CARAT fan club pre-sale runs before the general sale. As with all SEVENTEEN unit events, demand substantially exceeds supply — monitor the official Weverse schedule closely for on-sale dates.
