Hangeul Day

Hangeul Day is observed annually on October 9 in South Korea to commemorate the creation and proclamation of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul. The day honors King Sejong the Great and celebrates the cultural and linguistic significance of the Korean writing system. It is a national public holiday marked by educational events, exhibitions, and language-related activities.
