Jeju Fire Festival

The Jeju Fire Festival is held annually in early spring on Jeju Island, South Korea. The festival originates from a traditional farming practice known as “bangae,” in which fields were burned to remove pests and prepare the land for new growth. It features large-scale hill burning events, folk performances, cultural programs, and interactive activities that attract both local residents and visitors.
