The Jamsil section of the Han River park stretches east from the Lotte World area toward the Gwangnaru zone with a riverside promenade that gives direct views toward the Lotte World Tower and, facing west, toward the sunset over the central Seoul skyline. The hour before sunset on weekday evenings is when the park's atmosphere is closest to how the local residential population uses it — joggers, couples, small groups picnicking on the grass — before the weekend crowds arrive. The tower reflection on the water at dusk is one of the more photogenic compositions available in eastern Seoul without effort.
