Five decommissioned oil storage tanks from the 1970s, converted into an arts and cultural complex in 2017. The tanks — some still smelling faintly of petroleum — now house performance spaces, galleries, a café inside a tank, and a history museum documenting their industrial past. The exterior walkways thread between tanks that have been partially cut away to reveal their curved interiors. One tank is left entirely raw, walls stained with decades of oil residue, and operates as an immersive exhibition space. Easily the most unusual venue in Seoul for an art exhibition. Located near Mapo Bridge, next to World Cup Park.
