A narrow forested valley on Gwanaksan's northern slope, running from Sillim-dong up through increasingly dense forest to a series of granite outcrops with views over the SNU campus. "Jiok" (地獄) means hell — the valley was named for its steep, punishing climb, though the lower section is gentle enough for casual walkers. The upper ravine has a small waterfall visible after rainfall and several Buddhist hermitages carved into the cliff face. Far quieter than the main Gwanaksan trails; the trailhead is a 10-minute walk from Sillim station. Good for escaping the weekend crowds on the main mountain routes.
