A low mountain (285m) on the boundary of Gwangjin and Gangdong districts, riddled with short forest trails that most visitors to Konkuk University or Olympic Park miss entirely. The summit offers a clear view of the Han River bend and downtown Seoul to the west — one of the city's better elevated vantage points within easy distance of central Seoul. Achasan is historically significant as a site of Goguryeo fortifications; remnants of the earthen fortress walls remain on the southern ridge. The full circuit from Achasan Ecological Park trailhead to the summit and back takes about 90 minutes on well-maintained paths.
