A 1,200-year-old Buddhist temple sitting directly across the road from the COEX tower complex — one of Seoul's sharpest juxtapositions. The temple grounds are free, quiet, and open from 3 AM for early-morning practitioners. The 23-metre standing Mireuk Buddha statue at the back of the complex faces north toward Bukhansan. Temple stay programmes available with advance booking.
