The stone wall path running along the north side of Deoksugung Palace is one of Seoul's most walked streets — short, shaded, and genuinely old. The wall itself dates to the Joseon era; the path alongside it leads past the Seoul Museum of Art and connects to the Jeong-dong history district. Autumn afternoons when the ginkgo trees along the wall turn yellow draw photographers from across the city. The Seoul City Hall building at one end is worth seeing too.
