Dongnimmun Independence Gate
📍 서울 종로구 무악동 독립문
Dongnimmun Independence Gate was built in 1897 on the site of a former gate where Korean kings historically received envoys from China — the replacement gate was a deliberate statement of independence. The park around it contains memorial structures and a section of the old city wall.
