The Dorimcheon stream corridor in the Yeongdeungpo and Guro district boundary zone is planted with cherry trees along both embankments that bloom in early April and create a tunnel of blossoms above the stream path. The trail is used by local residents and sees a fraction of the crowds at Yeouido or Seokchon Lake during peak season. Outside blossom time, the stream path functions as a cycling and running corridor connecting the Sindorim area to the Han River. The stream holds a resident population of water birds year-round; the planted embankment has been progressively improved with additional seasonal planting over the past decade.
