Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon is the largest park in the Seoul metropolitan area — combining a major zoo, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA Gwacheon), the Seoul Land theme park, and a botanical garden across a 6.2-square-kilometre site in the Cheonggyesan foothills. The zoo holds the most comprehensive wildlife collection in Korea and the MMCA Gwacheon branch holds the largest permanent collection of Korean modern art accessible outside Seoul. The rose garden and the outdoor sculpture collection around the MMCA building are accessible without museum admission. The park is accessible by subway from Seoul in 25 minutes and the cable car from the main gate to the zoo summit gives a hilltop overview of the park complex.
