Gwangnaru Hangang Park — Drone Zone
The only officially designated drone flying zone within Seoul's city limits, in the eastern section of Gwangnaru Hangang Park. Drone pilots from across Seoul come to fly here legally — watching the range of machines from beginner quadcopters to professional FPV rigs is unexpectedly compelling. The surrounding park has wide lawns, a swimming beach (open July–August), and a campsite. The Han River here is narrower than downstream and the current is visible. Konkuk University's lake campus is a 10-minute walk west. One of the more unusual open spaces in Seoul — the drone flights give it an energy unlike any other riverside park.
