Gyeongui Line Forest Park — Daeheung Section (경의선 숲길 대흥 구간)
The Daeheung section of the Gyeongui Line Forest Park sits between the main Yeonnam stretch and the Sinsu-dong area and is generally less crowded than the more visited Yeonnam zone to the north. The planting here is denser and the path narrows in places to a tree-covered corridor that completely separates the walker from the surrounding street grid. The cafe strip on either side of the path begins here and the combination of the linear park and the low-rise commercial buildings adjacent gives a pedestrian-scale streetscape that the broader Mapo district lacks. Best in late spring and autumn when the deciduous planting is most active.
