A concentration of independent cafés, wine bars, and small restaurants along the streets running between Hapjeong station and the Han River bank — one of Mapo-gu's best-kept dining secrets. The Han River is visible at the end of several alleys; a few rooftop bars have direct river views. Less polished than Yeonnam-dong and with a younger, more local clientele than Hongdae. The street closest to the river — Yangwha-ro — has the highest concentration of quality independent operators. The Yanghwa Bridge is five minutes on foot; the bridge walk to Seonyudo Island is a natural extension of an evening in this neighbourhood.
