Inje Seoraksan Outer Seorak Valley (인제 외설악 계곡)

The Outer Seorak (Oeseorak) section of Seoraksan National Park accessed from the Inje county side provides the less-visited alternative to the more developed Inner Seorak approaches from Sokcho. The Baekdam Valley — a 12-kilometre forest trail into the Seoraksan interior following the Buk River — gives access to the Baekdamsa Temple and the high valley environment below the Seoraksan main ridge. The autumn colour in the Baekdam Valley is consistently ranked among the top five autumn colour walks in Korea, typically peaking in early October. The valley trailhead at Yongdae-ri is accessible from Inje town by bus.
