Insadong Ssamziegil (인사동 쌈지길)

A courtyard mall built to look like a traditional market but assembled vertically — a single ramp spirals upward around an open central courtyard, with shops opening off the inner edge at each level. Independent designers, craft makers, and food vendors rotate in and out of the small units. The concept has been running since 2004 and still works; the tenant mix stays interesting because the rent structure favors makers over retail chains.
