A multi-venue sports district anchored by the 69,950-seat Olympic Main Stadium, host of the 1988 Summer Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. The complex includes an indoor arena (Jamsil Arena), a baseball stadium home to the LG Twins and Doosan Bears, a swimming pool, and a velodrome — all still in active use. K-pop concerts and international acts regularly fill the main stadium and arena; the baseball season runs April to October with evening games starting at 6:30pm. The stadium exterior walk along the Olympic Plaza is free and worthwhile even without a ticket. Directly connected to Jamsil subway station (lines 2 and 8).
