The campus lake at Konkuk University has become a popular café and brunch destination for the surrounding Gwangjin neighbourhood. A dozen independent cafés line the streets east of the campus, with good espresso and weekend brunch menus in the 12,000–18,000 KRW range. Quieter than Seongsu and Hongdae, and ten minutes from either by subway.
