Mapo Arts Center (마포아트센터)

A mid-sized performing arts venue in Mapo that programs ballet, classical music, and contemporary Korean performance across two halls. The programming is a step below the main national venues in Jongno but the ticket prices are significantly lower and the sight lines in the main hall are excellent. Several regular series focus on emerging Korean composers and choreographers who are not yet appearing at the larger venues. The surrounding Mapo-gu arts district includes several smaller gallery spaces within walking distance.
