Mapo Mangwon Local Market (마포 망원 로컬 시장)
Mangwon Market in Mapo-gu is one of the most active neighbourhood markets in western Seoul, operating daily with a range of fresh produce, banchan side dishes, street food stalls, and specialty vendors that supply the surrounding Mangwon-dong and Hapjeong-dong residential population. Unlike the tourist-facing markets, Mangwon functions on the basis of regular local patronage and the pricing and product selection reflect the neighbourhood rather than any visitor economy. The surrounding Mangwon-dong streets are among the better examples of a densely occupied, walkable Seoul residential neighbourhood with a good concentration of independent cafes and small restaurants that operate on the same local basis.
