Waryong Park in Seongbuk-gu occupies the ridge above Changgyeonggung Palace and the Bukchon area, providing a forested hill walk that connects the palace wall circuit to the northern slopes of the Naksan ridge. The park is the least visited public green space in the immediate Bukchon-Changgyeonggung heritage zone despite offering the best elevated views of the Changgyeonggung palace forest and the Bukchon hanok roofscape from above. The Naksan Park to the east along the same ridge gives access to the Hyehwa-Ihwa mural village areas below. The combination of the Waryong Park ridge and the Naksan Park ridge gives a complete circuit above the historic Seoul inner city.
