Seoul Botanic Park Greenhouse (서울식물원 온실)
The Seoul Botanic Park in Magok-dong opened in 2019 and operates a large glass greenhouse holding plant collections from twelve climate zones including Mediterranean and tropical sections. The outdoor thematic gardens around the greenhouse cover native Korean flora organised by region. The park is less crowded on weekday mornings than the weekend visits from families that fill the main lawn. The Magok area surrounding the park is a new business district without the established residential character of older Seoul neighbourhoods, making the park itself the primary reason to visit. The greenhouse is at its best in winter when the contrast between the cold outside and the tropical interior is greatest.
