The birthplace of modern tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), this alley off Sindang Station has been serving the dish since 1953. Dozens of competing restaurants each claim to be the original. A two-person set with tteokbokki, fish cakes, dumplings, and ramen runs ₩17,000–₩25,000; most restaurants offer table-top cooking so the sauce keeps bubbling. Arrive between 6–9PM for the full atmosphere.
