Lotte World Tower at 555 metres is the tallest building in Korea and the fifth tallest in the world. The Seoul Sky observatory on floors 117-123 gives the highest publicly accessible view in Korea — the Han River basin, Bukhansan, Gwanaksan, and on exceptionally clear days the Yellow Sea and East Sea simultaneously. The Seokchon Lake below the tower is a public park accessible without any admission and the weekend walking circuit around the lake, with the tower reflected in the water and the Lotte World theme park across the lake, is the primary free leisure activity in the Jamsil area. The spring cherry blossom around Seokchon Lake is among the most popular in Seoul.
