A 638m granite peak rising dramatically from the northeastern edge of Seoul, offering cable-assisted scrambles, sweeping views of Bukhansan and Dobongsan, and three named waterfalls along the route. Far less crowded than Bukhansan yet just as rewarding, Suraksan draws weekend hikers seeking raw Seoul topography without the tourist gauntlet. Multiple trailheads fan out from Sanggye-dong apartment blocks, dropping you straight from city streets into forested ridgelines.
