Tancheon Stream Cycling Route (탄천 자전거길)

The Tancheon stream runs northward through Seongnam and enters Seoul at the Suseo area before joining the Han River at Jamsil. The cycling and walking path along the embankment provides a direct green corridor through the eastern edge of Gangnam-gu that is used heavily by commuter cyclists and recreational riders. The stretch from Suseo toward Yangjae passes through a planted embankment corridor with almost no commercial development. The stream holds a resident population of herons, egrets, and kingfishers year-round. The path connects directly to the Han River cycling network at the northern end.
