An outdoor-and-indoor memorial complex on the former Korean Army HQ site in Yongsan. The outdoor plaza displays over 100 pieces of hardware — tanks, jets, artillery — that visitors can walk among freely. Inside, six floors of galleries trace Korean military history from ancient kingdoms through the Korean War and modern peacekeeping missions. The Korean War exhibit includes replica command centres, period-accurate dioramas, and survivor testimonies. Admission is free. The bronze Brothers Statue at the centre of the plaza, depicting a South and North Korean soldier embracing mid-battle, is the defining image of the site. Allow 2–3 hours for a thorough visit.
