A hillside residential neighbourhood in Dongdaemun-gu where a community mural project in the early 2010s transformed a declining area's retaining walls and staircases into a continuous open-air gallery. Unlike the more commercial mural villages in Busan and Incheon, this one retains a genuine residential feel — families live in the houses behind the painted walls and the murals are maintained by community agreement rather than as a tourist attraction. The steep lanes offer elevated views east toward Namsan. The project is locally credited with stabilising what had been a neighbourhood slated for demolition.
