Three or four small specialty roasteries operate within a short walk of each other in Yeonnam, most roasting on-site in spaces small enough that the roaster and the barista are the same person. The quality across this cluster is consistently higher than most of what appears in Seoul café guides. Single origin pour-overs are the standard; espresso-based drinks are secondary. Hours are irregular and most close when the day's roast is sold out. The best approach is to arrive early on a weekday and work through the row at your own pace.
