The Dolsan Bridge connecting Yeosu city to Dolsan Island was the first bridge completed to replace a regular ferry crossing in Korea and the bridge approach at night — illuminated with LED lights — gives one of the most recognised night-drive images on the southern coast. The seafood restaurants below the bridge on the Dolsan Island approach are the primary eating destination for visitors to the Yeosu cable car — the full evening circuit of cable car, bridge illumination, and seafood dinner is the most visited evening structure in Yeosu. The Dolsan gat (Dolsan mustard leaf) kimchi is the island's food specialty and is served at every restaurant in the area.
