If you are reading this article, you are probably feeling very confused and stressed because you suddenly started hearing tinnitus. However, the fact that you responded immediately upon discovering it is a very positive thing, so letโs learn about tinnitus slowly.
Tinnitus is a medical term for a continuous sound heard in the ear or head. Most people have tinnitus below 20 db (decibels), but not many have tinnitus that is so severe that they feel sensitive. Usually, tinnitus is caused by physical shock to the 'ear, brain' area, but... when it occurs naturally, it can be confusing because you don't know the reason.
(If you have sensitive temporomandibular joints or have problems with your temporomandibular joints, you may also be suspicious of this part.)
The reason I can write this article is because I also found out about it while being stressed by sudden tinnitus.
If you start to feel tinnitus, I recommend that you first visit an ENT clinic as soon as possible. An ENT clinic is the place where you can determine the most direct cause through ear and blood tests. When people are under a lot of stress, they tend to develop diseases that they didn't have before, but when tinnitus started, I think I was really stressed out. It kept ringing even when I was sleeping, so it was really hard to sleep on the first day.
So in my case, it was sorted out into two issues. The first was that I got some surprising information when I visited an ENT clinic. People continuously clean their ears with cotton swabs and earwax removers to keep their ears clean and healthy. I did the same. I had my ear examined, and my left ear was fine, but my right ear hole was narrower than the left, so earwax and dust that had been pushed in since birth were touching my eardrum.
It was surprising information that I first learned after being told that I was brushing my teeth incorrectly at the dentist. They say that earwax will naturally come out if it accumulates in the ear, so it is best not to touch the earwax as much as possible. While saying that, they cleaned out the accumulated earwax, and I felt a sense of relief. (I had no discomfort in the area where my ear was usually blocked.)
And I wonder if it's because of my mood. The tinnitus volume has been resolved to 40% from 100%? You asked about a blood test, but I thought it would get better, so I didn't do a blood test and decided to wait a few days. It hasn't recovered to the point where I can't feel it.
And what I tried was muscle relaxation through massage. Since my muscles tend to get stiff often, I usually do muscle relaxation once every 1-2 months, but since that period was a bit longer, I tried muscle relaxation as well. Since many people sometimes experience tinnitus when they are extremely tired, I thought that muscle tension in the head and neck area was enough to cause tinnitus. And, it seems to have decreased from 40% -> 20%.
Now, I can barely hear it unless it's a very quiet place, and I'm focusing on stretching and taking care of my health.
This article may not be a 100% solution for people with tinnitus, but I recommend that you visit an ENT clinic without panicking. I think it's a very scary judgment to think that you should just endure it because you're old. The human body is something that can't be recovered once it starts to get worse.
I think the test fee will be within 10,000 to 30,000 won, so please get it done and I hope it gets resolved quickly. Fighting!!
