Bukchon and Seochon are hanok (traditional Korean house) residential areas located near Gyeongbokgung Palace, and are neighborhoods where you can best feel Seoul’s traditional atmosphere. Bukchon (East of Gyeongbokgung Palace) Bukchon Hanok Village is an area where hanoks over 600 years old are preserved. There are famous alley viewpoints called ‘Bukchon 8 Scenic Spots.’ Gahoe-dong 31-gil alley is a representative photo spot. There are many workshops and traditional craft experience classes. Seochon (West of Gyeongbokgung Palace) A neighborhood where modern and contemporary artists such as poet Yun Dong-ju lived. Less well-known than Bukchon, it is much quieter.
