The Festival

The SAC Symphony Festival is Korea’s flagship orchestral event, running 23 days at Seoul Arts Center’s Concert Hall in Seocho-gu (April 1–23). The festival brings together Korea’s top orchestras — including the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, and Korea National Symphony — alongside invited international ensembles for a dense program of symphonic performances. Programs vary nightly and typically include well-known classical works alongside Korean premieres and new commissions. It is the single best opportunity in the Korean calendar to hear world-class orchestral music in concentrated form.

Concerts & Tickets

Individual concert tickets are available through the Seoul Arts Center website (sac.or.kr) and Interpark. Popular programs — particularly opening/closing concerts and performances with international soloists — sell out weeks in advance. The Concert Hall (2,523 seats) is one of Asia’s finest purpose-built concert venues, with outstanding acoustics. Check the program guide for specific orchestra and conductor announcements, which typically arrive 4–6 weeks before the festival opens.
