Seoul Photo Festival returns after a five-year hiatus with its first edition at the newly opened Photography Seoul Museum of Art. Twenty-three Korean photographers explore the theme 'Come Back Home' through five participation modes: Look, Read, Talk, Make, and Share. Free entry.
Seoul Photo Festival, South Korea’s only dedicated public photography festival, returns after a five-year break. The 2026 edition is the first hosted by the Photography Seoul Museum of Art — a recently established public institution focused exclusively on photography. Twenty-three Korean photographers contribute work around the central theme: Come Back Home.
The concept of “home” anchors the entire exhibition — as memory, as place, as longing, and as identity. Works range from documentary-style family archives to abstract spatial photography. The breadth of interpretations makes the show feel more like a conversation than a survey.
The festival structures participation into five modes: Look (viewing galleries), Read (accompanying texts and archives), Talk (curator-led discussions), Make (photography workshops), and Share (community submission projects). Not all modes run daily — check the program schedule on the official site.
Admission to Seoul Photo Festival 2026 is free. The Photography Seoul Museum of Art’s location and hours are available via the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s English website. The festival runs through June 14, 2026.
