The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival transforms the 1.7 km cherry blossom boulevard along Yeouiseo-ro into one of Seoul’s most iconic spring scenes over five days (April 8–12). Hundreds of cherry trees reach peak bloom simultaneously, creating a canopy of white and pale pink over the tree-lined road adjacent to the Han River. The festival adds food stalls, live performances, and a genuinely festive atmosphere to what would already be a beautiful natural event. It is consistently one of the most photographed spots in Seoul during cherry blossom season.
The festival grounds connect directly to Yeouido Hangang Park, Seoul’s largest riverside park, which provides open space, food vendors, and riverside views as a natural extension of the blossom walk. The Han River cycling path and recreational areas are popular before and after walking the boulevard. Weekday mornings are significantly calmer than weekend afternoons — crowds on peak bloom weekends are enormous. Road closures around Yeouiseo-ro are common during the festival period.
