Every travel photo of Boseong shows the same manicured front terraces — but the back slope of Daehan Dawon plantation is where the geometry gets genuinely surreal. The rows curve around a valley in tighter spirals, and in early May when new growth turns the hedges a luminous yellow-green, it looks almost artificial. Most tour groups never make it past the entrance area. Head uphill along the forest path on the left side of the plantation for elevated angles, then descend on the far side where you'll find a small Buddhist temple almost nobody visits. Entry fee is 4,000 won. Arrive before 10am in peak season (May, early November) or the main paths become impassable with selfie sticks.
