Gokseong Steam Train Village (곡성 섬진강 기차마을)
The Gokseong Steam Train Village operates a restored vintage steam locomotive along the former Jeolla Line track beside the Seomjingang River — a 10-kilometre riverside scenic railway through the valley that gives a direct experience of the landscape from the original railway perspective. The surrounding Gokseong area holds the Seomjingang River cycling path and the Gokseong Rose Gardens at the former Gokseong Station, which holds the largest rose garden open to the public in Jeollanam-do. The combination of the vintage railway, the river valley, and the rose garden gives Gokseong a themed visitor infrastructure unusual for a rural Jeollanam-do county town.
